Abdulla Al Khalifa

Currently Vice President of Regulatory and Public affairs in Lightspeed Communications, Abdulla started his work in telecommunications in Batelco back in 2002 focusing on Regulatory Affairs, around the same time the telecoms market had just been officially liberalized. After spending 2 years in Batelco, he left the company to form Lightspeed Communications in 2004 as a start-up focusing on the telecommunications sector, in which he managed the various marketing, sales, financial, technical and regulatory operations of the company. Following successful acquisitions of appropriate Internet and Voice licenses, and due to the strategic positioning in the market, Lightspeed has partnered with Orange Jordan (majority shareholder being France Telecom Group) in the aim of strengthening its positions in a very fast-moving and dynamic market. Today, Lightspeed is amongst the leading alternative fixed-line and broadband telecommunications companies in the Kingdom.

Abdulla took his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University back in 2001.
