Ali Amer

Ali is currently a distinguished member of the Technical staff with Saudi Telecom Company, and worked also with Alcatel, Lucent, Telcordia. Ali is a recognized information and communication Technology (ICT) expert with proven track record of significant contribution and achievements. He has an experience that extends to more than 26 Years, started from Network Operation, Network Design & Engineering and Network planning. He’s well experienced with the Fixed, Mobile, and Wireless technologies (PSTN, SS7, SDH, 2G, 3G, HSPA, HSPA+, LTE and Wimax). More recently he’s more involved in developing strategies and business plans, business process reengineering & change management, and focusing on optimizing the use of technology in pursuit of the Telecom Operators (Telcos) business goals.

Ali’s core areas of expertise are Next generation Network (NGN), IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), Strategic planning, Business planning, corporate strategies, Network Communication design & deployment, investigation and assessment of new technology solution. He’s supporting and advising Telcos’ top management in studying and recommending new Technologies, Services, consulting and executive coaching in business strategy, project management, risk assessment, technology knowledge transfer, and building ties with ICT communities. While he’s working with Telcos, his research of interests included Network Planning & Design, Broad band Networks, Next Generation Access Networks (FTTX, xDSL, HSPA, LTE, and Wimax), Transport Network (IPMPLS), Optical Transport Network, and Next Generation Operation and Support Systems (NGOSS). He authored/Co-authored several technical papers, and delivered many presentations and tutorials to various international audiences and he’s frequently requested speaker at International Conferences and Symposiums. Ali is a member of IEEE, Computer Society, Communication Society, the Project Management Institute, and the Saudi Engineering Association.
